Wingfield Farms Stallions - Delacroix, Dressage Royal, and Ritual

Delacroix impresses with his wonderful bloodlines of top stallions and testing winners. His sire, Don Frederico, the elegant and impressive 17.1 hand black Donnerhall son became Champion of the 1999 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing. This "eye-catcher" completed his stallion performance test as runner-up with the amazing score of 151.67 points in the dressage section. He also constantly improved his qualities during test. He possesses excellent mental qualities. Don Frederico convinces by his excellent rideability and his very good basic gaits, which will impress all dressage riders. In 2005, Don Frederico was rated by the German Equestrian Federation as the second most valuable sport horse breeding stallion, based on his Breeding Value Index of 174 points, with an assurance of 89% heritability. He is a member of the Celle black horse dressage quadrille. His offspring are also demonstrating dressage excellence. In 2005 two of his offspring; one mare, one gelding, were Champion and Reserve Champion at the Bundeschampionat and most recently for the Fall 2007 Hanoveraner auction the top priced horse sold for 45,000 euros was the lovely horse "Dein Wunschtraum" by Don Frederico/Don Primero.

Delacroix's dam, SPS Mijou, is a States Premium Matcho daughter and her dam is a States Premium Argentan mare, and her grandmother a States Premium Woermann mare. This mare family has been very successful at major mare shows, and the Argentan mother was European Champion and the grandmother produced an International Dressage horse!! This mare is an overall "8" with all scores in the 8-9 range, with two "9's" for rideability. Delacroix's dam was sired by Matcho x, the "noble black" Anglo-Arab with the "magnificent presence". "As a stallion who improves the breed Matcho is one of the rare stallions who improves type and presence...". Matcho was the Stallion Performance Test Champion at his testing. Known for producing refinement and high rideability in offspring. Sire of over 30 approved stallions, 7 of which are owned by the Hanoverian State Stud in Celle, Germany. Delacroix's granddam was sired by Argentan, was "1994 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" producing 100 state's premium mares, 19 approved sons, and 500 of his offspring have competed successfully in both dressage and jumping guaranteeing Argentan a spot in the Club of Millionaires.

At Delacroix's inspection he was named a "wonderful stallion candidate" and in the AHS quarterly magazine, they called Delacroix "The Full Package" (see the article in the AHS 2003 Fall magazine under River House Hanoverians site). Delacroix presently stands 16.1 hands and is a refined type, black stallion with no markings, and 3 good gaits. He shows a lot of talent for Jumping and Dressage.

Delacroix has completed the 30 Day Stalliion Test at SilverCreek Sporthorses!!! Delacroix received a remarkable 8.75 for Interior, 6.50 for an average walk, 7.75 for an excellent Trot, an 8.00 for his super Canter, a 7.63 for Rideability, and a 7.19 for Jumping! Check out the new photos below!

Delacroix passed the 70 Day Test and is now approved/licensed with the American Hanoverian Society. He received 9.11 for Character, Temperment, Willingness to Work showing an excellent work ethic and trainability! He received 8.50 for Trot & Rideability, & Capacity to Work, 8s for Canter, Gallop, and Jumping Technique under saddle, he received 7.50-7.77 for Free Jumping, Cross Country Jumping, during his training. Due to there being no testing last year and him attending the 30 day the year before he did get a handicap deduction removed from his overall score but did very well showing his excellent Disposition and Willingness to work, brave to the fences and trying very hard with a superb canter and trot.

UPDATE 12/2009 Delacroix completes and passes the 70 Day Stallion Test and is approved AHS. Delacroix is presently in training with Michael Etherly in California at Harris Ranch and will be shown at 2nd level and in Hunters this Winter. Performance tested in 2001 with a score of 8,21 for Dressage and an 8 for Jumping. He came in 2nd in the Dressage protion of his test out of 25 stallions. He also took first place in the Bundeschampionate for 5 year olds in 2003 with a score of 8,30. He is a lovely young up and coming stallion with excellent bloodlines. Ritual is known as a Jumper producer and carries the blood of Ramiro, Der Loewe, Cottage Son, and Amselkoenig II. He has 12 licensed sons in Germany, and over 800 registered Hanoverian offspring alone, not including Oldenburg and other registries. Ritual is licensed and approved with 8 German registries for breeding. 100 day tested in 1988 placing 5th out of 73 with a score of 128.33, individual placing was 4th for Jumping with a score of 135.09 and 118.13 in Dressage.
