Pedigree
SPS Elfi comes from a line of States Premium mares (x7) and won her States Premium status before competing in Combined Driving and Eventing in Germany. She is a mare that produces Elite foals, two of which have gone on to the Elite auctions, and two of which are States Premium mares, with her most recent a stallion candidate. Her bloodlines suit her to produce Dressage horses. Her sire, Eisenherz I produced 222 Dressage tournament horses, with nine of them making over 1 million DM during their careers. On the other side, Sender gives her blood in jumping, and one of her daughters competed successfully in Germany as a jumper. Sender stood at the state stud and produced horses with good backs and movement, as well as jumpers, with the most famous being Senator. He also produced the famous mare line Sendernixe, who was the mother to the brother dynasty World Cup I, II, III, and IV. SPS Elfi resembles her damsire Sender very closely. Elfi's half brother Atair, out of her dam Sandria was a licensed stallion by Ataturk. She has a very nice, lofty front end movement with a lot of elasticity and suspension. She also has an excellent disposition, wonderful topline with beautiful neck, good size, bone and great hooves. She passes this on to her offspring, all of which have had her excellent temperament. 2002 black Hanoverian mare by Hanoverian stallion Royal Senna. Royal Senna (Rubinstein I x Airport) was Canadian National Champion in 2005 and Silver Medalist in 2004 & 2005 at 3rd and 4th level. Royal Senna is by the legendary Westfalen stallion Rubinstein I who died at a young age, but not before leaving his mark on the Hanoverian breed. Many of our top stallions today in the Hanoverian breed are by this sire, who not only left behind nearly 80 approved sons, but also competed under Nicole Uphoff in the International arena successfully before his career was sadly cut short. On his dam's side he has the blood of Airport who was an impressive stallion and producer of Dressage horses by one of our foundation stallions, Argentan. The dam of Royal Joy (Joci's Joy) was Non Hanoverian Champion at her AHS inspection and was entered into the Main Mare book with the excellent score of 6.77. She goes back to Nasrullah 4x, Nearco 5x, Mumtaz Begum 5x, Bold Ruler, Count Fleet, Princequillo, and Man O'War - a truly amazing pedigree of Thoroughbreds which have been proven to bring excellent crosses to Warmblood Sporthorses. Joci moved with the type of elasticity and suspension rarely seen in the TB breed and was the type you want to breed to when bringing in this refinement blood. "Roz" is currently started under saddle learning the basics and has the most willing and kind disposition. She has been named an FEI prospect by Danish Grand Prix trainer Lars Birkedahl.

1993 16.3 hand, chestnut Holsteiner mare by Caracas out of Eroica. CARACAS was approved and 100-day tested in Germany. He was bred by Paul Bahlmann, breeder of the world's leading sire of showjumpers, RAMIRO Z from the same Stamm. After being imported, CARACAS was a competition driving horse. Caracas was a fantastic jumper with excellent bascule and very good knees. He produced many successful broodmares and some beautiful horses with a special talent for Dressage. Caracas was the sire of numerous young jumper prospects including 1999 IJF Midwest Regional winners THRILLS, and MORE THRILLS, pluse FRILLING, (Preliminary Jumper Champion Milner Downs Summer, Kenna Mansfield), and Frilling's full siblings: SARGE (Todd Minikus), FRILLING II (Tessa Weise), FREEMONT (Shayla McConnell), FRILLER, BANKROBBER (AO Jumper Champion at WEF), CONGRESS, ROSEBUD (Leslie Radford and Francie Steinwedell Carvin), COHIBA, GALAULT ROSE, INTREPID STAR, GILLMAN, HANSEN, CHEATAM, CANTARIAT, CARA BELLE, CARABELLA, CARAMORE, CARABAR, CHARLOTTE, CARAJAG, CARAMARIA, CARA JANE, CHINOOK, COWBOY, and SLINGSHOT (bred by Susie Hutchison). She is also half sister to the dam of GALINA, who is the dam of LOUIS J, Reserve Champion of the South German Stallion Championships and the Grand Prix jumper LORELEY 41. Eroica's stamm , 776, has produced the European licensed stallions RAMIRO (world's leading sire of show jumpers, including RATINA Z), MY LORD, CAPTAIN INCIPIT, LORD INCIPIT I, LORD INCIPIT II, CALVADOS, RAMIRADO, the international grand prix show jumper, LAURITZ J, and CHAKA KHAN (sales topper at the 1997 Oaks auction at $75,000.) Eroica's sire, Consul, is the sire of GRANAT (two time dressage World Champion, Olympic Gold) and JOOST (ranked among the leading sires of jumpers by the WBFSH, including V.I.P., TIO PEPE's HAY GUY, dam sire of OMMEN.)
Holly competed successfully as a jumper in Canada with a Junior Amateur to 3'6" level and won the Spruce Meadows indoor Mini Prix in 2000. She is a proven producer, having foaled 3 foals, of which 2 were given Premium status by the Oldenburg Verband at their inspections. Holly is presently back under saddle and will be showing in Jumpers and Dressage this season. Holly will be bred by embryo transfer to Ritual for a 2008 foal.

Donnertanz is out of our States Premium mare Elfi (Eisenherz I x Sender x Lasso) and is by the Grand Prix Dressage stallion Donnerwetter (Disput x Melli x Matador). Donnerwetter was the sire of the legendary Donnerhall and was only offered to a select few mares in his last years. Her dam SPS Elfi was imported from Germany in 2001 as our foundation mare because of her record of producing offspring which either achieved States Premium status in her female offspring and her male offspring competing successfully in the Medium level jumpers and being sold at the Elite auction. Elfi won in hand 3 times at the Mareshows in Germany before going on to her Performance Test to receive an overall "8". She showed excellent potential in the Jump Chute with an overall "8" also and a "7.5" for her Dressage with all "8"s for her walk, trot and canter. Elfi contributes both Jumper and Dressage blood to Donnertanz and Donnerwetter, her sire, adds in even more Dressage potential. Donnertanz means "Thunder Dance" in German and we felt this summed up her powerful movement that she interprets with grace and agility. She has a wonderful walk 
with great swing and overreach, using her whole body. Her trot is lofty and she engages her hind end well showing good use of her hocks, staying well under herself. Her canter is of the highest quality; uphill, powerful, graceful, and balanced, which is also seen in her full brother Deveraux, who is now being prepared for the FEI 5 -year-old test next year and is being kept a stallion prospect. She packs 3 lovely gaits into a petite package with very good conformation and a flashy black coat. Donnertanz is now being lightly backed and will begin work in the jump chute this summer. "Desi" is strong willed and proud. She is an alpha mare type with spirit but does join up well with people and loves to be spoiled. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being bombproof child's horse and 10 being a complicated professional's horse) Desi is a 5. She is suited for breeding Dressage or Jumper offspring with rare bloodlines up close. She is being started under saddle.

Quiet Storm (Stormy) is out of the Selle Francais Jumper mare Illuminante (Playboy de La Bouverie x Mehmet) by the Holsteiner/Selle Francais son of Cor de La Bryere, Candidus (Cor de La Bryere x Landgraf x Fax I). Stormy's dam Illuminante is a talented Jumper mare who also has trained successfully in the lower levels of Dressage. Playboy de La Bouverie, the sire of Illuminante is one of the largest money earners of all time in Jumper history and competed Internationally winning all over and was called "The Chairman". Her dam was French Thoroughbred mare who competed successfully in Hunters on the West Coast. Illuminante contributed the blood of Playboy de La Bouverie, Orange Peel, and A L' Honneur to Stormy. These horses are seen in the pedigrees of the top Jumpers today. Stormy's sire Candidus contributes the top bloodlines of Cor de La Bryere, the sire that revolutionalized Jumper breeding and tends to give great form over jumps and is blood that top breeders of Jumpers want to see in their mare lines. Candidus also brings Landgraf, one of the great sires of the Holsteiner breed and is far and away the most important Jumper sire in the world today, in addition he contributes the blood of Fax I. Candidus is a 17.1 hand substantial stallion of wonderful breeding who has produced numerous Hunter offspring. Quiet Storm presently stands at 16.2 hands. She is bred for Jumpers/Hunters and is being started in the Jumpchute this Summer. She has 3 nice elastic gaits with a good walk, tracking up well; a nice elastic, groundcovering, forward trot, and a rhythmic, beautiful canter showing good use of her hind end and back. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being childrens horse-10 being complicated professionals horse) Stormy is a 3. She loves people, learns fast and tries very hard. She is willing and has a good nature. Super sweet disposition with 3 very nice gaits, lots of elasticity in her trot, with a very nice canter and swinging walk too. Frances began her retraining this year after time off in pasture and is doing well at Training Level Dressage.

Black Hanoverian colt by our young stallion Delacroix (Don Frederico x Matcho x Argentan) a lovely black son of Don Frederico, the 17.1 hand Donnerhall son who not only became champion at his licensing but was runner up at his Stallion testing with the amazing score of 151.67 points in the Dressage section of his test. The German Equestrian Federation in 2005 named Don Frederico the 2nd most valuable sporthorse breeding stallion, based on his breeding index value of 174 points, with an assurance of 89% heritability! Delacoix has defintely inherited many of his traits, including his lovely gaits and type. Delacroix's dam is the States Premium mare Mijou by Matcho out a States Premium Argentan mare. Her granddam being a States Premium Woermann mare who was European Champion and produced an International Dressage horse. Decoto's dam Royal Joy is by Royal Senna (Rubinstein x Airport) son of the legendary black stallion Rubinstein I. Royal Senna was Canadian National Champion and Silver Medalist in 2004 and 2005 at 2nd and 3rd level Dressage. Royal Joy's dam was Non-Hanoverian Champion at her AHS inspection and was a substantial mare with 3 very good gaits and a wonderful disposition. Royal Joy is an FEI quality mare, with 3 very extravagant gaits and a puppy dog personality. 2006 Hanoverian colt by Hanoverian stallion Fiore (Walldorf x Winnetou West) out of Hanoverian mare Ghianna by Grossfurst x Dissel. This colt is all legs with his grandsire Walldorf's head and type and has tons of personality. Very correct conformation and should mature to 16.3 hands. Finer is by Fiore a young Hanoverian by Walldorf. Walldorf received all 9s at his stallion inspection and was Winner of his testing, coming in 1st out of 26 horses. Finer's dam Ghianna competed successfully to 3rd level in Dressage and is an imported Hanoverian of mainly Westfalen bloodlines. This colt has very correct comformation and will mature to be a very tall, substantial Warmblood.

2006 Hanoverian chestnut filly with stripe and stockings is by Weltmeyer, "Hanoverian Stallion of the Century," and out of our imported States Premium mare SPS Elfi by Eisenherz x Sender. We chose Weltmeyer for Elfi to bring influence of World Cup I while also getting the influence of Weltmeyer himself in hind end activity. This filly has three excellent gaits! Very uphill, floats on air type of movement, with lovely athletic ability to go from a canter to a stop in mid-air. Excellent freedom of shoulder. Conformationally she is an exact replica of her dam except with a bit more angle to her stifle. Very nice neck, coming out of the withers, good angles in the joints, wonderful shoulder and feminine head.

You can't get any flashier than this! It wasn't a huge surprise, since SPS Elfi (see at top of page) is known for throwing all Elite offspring so far, but we could not have foreseen all this chrome. Deveraux is being kept a stallion until further maturity and inspection. It's not often you see a half brother to Donnerhall any more, and this colt is by Donnerwetter, the black Oldenburg Grand Prix stallion who sired Donnerhall. SPS Elfi is one of the few mares who has had the opportunity to breed to Donnerwetter in his retirement by special contract only to the best mares, and we are sad to note his passing in 2003. This colt has three excellent gaits and we could not be happier with his disposition, type, bone and substance.

Black '04 Hanoverian filly by the Grand Prix stallion Donnerwetter, sire of the legendary Donnerhall out of imported States Premium Hanoverian mare SPS Elfi, our top foundation mare by Eisenherz x Sender who competed in Germany in CDE. This filly is very bold and spirited and at her AHS inspection received great comments about her type and movement. This filly has been retained as a future addition to our broodmare band and for Dressage showing. She shows great substance and bone like her dam, and exhibits all the qualities in SPS Elfi that we try to retain when breeding her.

'04 filly out of Illuminante, a lovely Selle Francais jumper bred mare bringing excellent bloodlines highly sought after to "Stormy" from Playboy de la Bouverie, the international jumper who still ranks at #3 for the highest money earners in jumpers. Quite a big deal considering he has been dead for quite a few years now! Stormy's dam Illuminante also was shown successfully at 1st Level Dressage and is presently schooling 2nd, and did Hunter Jumpers to 3'9" successfully and is schooling 4' now. Her sire Candidus brings the legendary Selle Francais blood of Cor de la Bryere and the Holsteiner Landgraf all in one package - both stallions being legends in the world of Warmblood sporthorses. Candidus himself is sire of numerous breed show winners, jumpers, and Dressage sporthorses. He not only brings the regal pedigree but stamps his offspring with his wonderful temperament and conformation, in addition to adding those long legs to his get. He has won top breed show championships and reserves at such prestigious shows at NEDA and Devon. This filly is stamped by her dam strongly, as seen in her exact markings and temperament, with her sire's long legs and lofty movement. She is correct in her conformation and shows nice elastic and catlike movement. She is a great jumper prospect but will be very versative and learns quickly.
